Unreformed Filibuster Update

Harry Reid decided against reforming the filibuster when he had the chance in January because – well, it wasn’t really clear. But there was at least an implication that Republicans were going to reduce their abuse of the anti-democratic parliamentary process. Now, in an unprecedented the Republicans are filibustering Chuck Hagel’s nomination for Defense Secretary. There has never been a filibuster on a Cabinet nominee before.
