Mayoral Candidates and Possible Police Action at #OccupySF

October 27, 2011

After #OccupyOakland protestors were allowed to remain at Ogawa Plaza, attention turned to #OccupySF. Currently, Supervisors Avalos and Chiu, both mayoral candidates, as well as Campos and Kim are there, and both Avalos and Chiu spoke with a protestor streaming video. (Ed. note: State Senator Leland Yee is also said to be there in the background of the screenshot above.) The word in the camp right now is that multiple MUNI busses full of cops are on their way. The joke in camp is that it will take them to get from 17th and De Haro to Justin Herman. Protestors have divided into those who are ready to be arrested and those who are not. They’re giving lessons on how to deal with tear gas. It’s fascinating and inspiring.
