Relaxing after finishing, a mountain view now unobstructed.

Today, we finally got to take down fences, the work that I expected to be doing when I planned this trip. It’s more physically demanding than our previous jobs bu the different tasks – cutting wire, rolling wire, pulling posts, piling posts – keep it interesting. It’s also much more satisfying than what we’ve been doing. Each post removed creates another lenght of wilderness; each wire rolled will no longer harm guanacos and other animals. By the end of the day, we had disassembled the multiple enclosures of a corral and could see the open land that resulted from our work.

Very satisfying I’m sure. There’s nothing like a hard days work when you can see the fruit of it in the end.
