The Future Patagonia National Park

The Future Patagonia National Park

On Wednesday night, I’m leaving for Chilean Patagonia, where I’ll be volunteering with an organization called Conservacion Patagonica, restoring land in what will eventually be a national park. It should be a beautiful trip. As I’ve got a good deal of preparation to do, posting will be limited during the next few days but I will be able to continue posting from the Southern Hemisphere, with a lot of pictures. Come and join me if you’ve got some time.

I would love to read your blogs. I learned about the creation of this Patagonia National Park recently and am considering being a volunteer. Would especially like to know practical details about what you brought, what you wished you brought, unforseen obstacles, etc. Good luck!

Carrie – thanks very much for your interest in my blog. Hopefully reading it has given you at least a hint of what it’s like down here. I would be happy to share my experience with you once I’m done here and have better access to the internet. I should be able to get in touch with you in December.
