Getting to Reform: Avenues For Constitutional Change in California

October 14, 2009

I went to this great event today in Sacramento which brought together a host of important people who have been thinking and discussing the possibility of a constitutional convention for some time, including people from California Forward, the New America Foundation and the Field Poll as well as a variety of academics, most prominently from Stanford’s Bill Lane Center for the American West, Berkeley’s Institute of Governmental Studies and Sacramento State’s Center for California Studies. They said they would be uploading a webcast for download in the near future, great for me because I only was able to attend the first two panels and part of the lunch conversation. I will be posting more over the next 24 hours but just wanted to give a heads-up for those who are interested in California government reform.
