Sun sinking over the Pacific

I went on a hike today at El Corte de Madera Open Space Preserve, another area maintained by the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District. It’s one of those parks, frequent in this area, where much of the trails are beneath tall redwoods, so things can get somewhat monotonous, but it does have two redeeming features that set it apart. One is the lookout point you can see above. Another is a tafoni sandstorm formation, a big hump of rock rising out of the slope who sides are riddled with interesting honeycomb-ish patterns. I’ll likely be going back.
